#OnThisDay one year ago, Claude Lanzmann, the legendary filmmaker who spent twelve years creating the monumental film, Shoah, died at age 92. The 9½-hour film features Holocaust survivors, perpetrators, eyewitnesses, and scholars. Lanzmann’s techniques were controversial.
